As a member of the French Vacuum Association, 40-30 takes part in the event. Located in the stand Number 51 (at the right side of the reception desk) SVTM 2010 gives us the opportunity to show our new trade unit, and new Saint Gobain equipments ASTI and FURON.

The international Photovoltaic Technical Conference 2010, dedicated to 'Thin Film', will take place from May 27th to May 28th 2010 at the Congress Center of Aix-en-Provence in Southern France.

The aim of this new technical conference in the area of photovoltaic is to reinforce collaboration between laboratories and industrial partners in order to strengthen the technical development of new generations of solar cells.

40-30 and its partners will introduce the COPERNIC project (production of solar cells based on heterojunction technologies) funded by Minalogic and Tenerrdis.

On the occasion of a recent evolution, 40-30 has integrated a new trade unit in vacuum equipment. Through an exceptional partnership with Saint Gobain Performance Plastics in order to retail specific vacuum technologies as FURON and ASTIPURE equipments. The development of this trade unit increases 40-30's presence over France, Southern Europe and Switzerland.

Continuing downscaling of semiconductors devices brings new challenges for plasma etch and strip. New materials and new architectures require new Etch and Strip approaches. This workshop, conjointly organized by CEA-Leti, LTM (CNRS/UIF/INPG) and IMEC brings together experts from research institutions and industry to discuss these new challenges in Plasma Etch and Strip.

40-30 technical partner of the Sol'R project

First solar energy blimp

November 2009

Nephelios is the first blimp in the world powered entirely by solar energy. This prototype was dreamed up and designed by INSA engineering students. Their project: to cross the English Channel completely autonomously without producing pollution.

The blimp has flexible solar panels on the top part of its shell and is filled with helium. The solar energy collected powers an electric motor located behind the control gondola, which is equipped with two twin-bladed propellers. Ground tests are underway in anticipation of the inaugural flight at the beginning of 2010 followed by an attempt to cross the English Channel after May 2010.

40-30 is proud to support this sustainable development project and has provided the Sol’R team with a leak detector for carrying out the leak testing on the shell.

First French Photovoltaic Equipment Suppliers Forum

40-30 and its partners such as Adixen, AET, Air Liquide, Centrotherm, IBS or Permio, became aware of the great potential of the photovoltaic market in terms of business and job creation. They decided to come together to help promote this sector.

The first EPVF forum was held on Friday 9th October 2009 in Aix-les-Bains.

Under the patronage of Jean-Pierre Vial, Senator of Savoy, this forum will give voice to many experts.

12th technical and scientific meeting of ARCSIS

The 12th ARCSIS meeting brought together semiconductor manufacturers, their OEMs and suppliers as well as research centres around the theme "Innovative Approaches for low cost manufacturing". Technical and scientific conferences were presented by national and international experts from the industrial or research sectors.

The contribution of Stéphane Hury, Head of 40-30's R&D department, will focus on maintenance engineering and the application of the 40-30 AMPS software:

In the context of its technological development, 40-30 recently signed cooperation agreements for the application of AMPS with major international industrial names: Air Liquide, CEA (Atomic Energy Commission), etc.

Integrating the fundamentals of Lean Management and skill management, 40-30 AMPS is an essential tool for company management (cost reduction, control of know-how, etc.). To guarantee international and European expansion for its new IT application, 40-30 is looking for editors and distributors of ERP computer software.
