The aim of the contract signed with CERN was essentially linked to the construction of the new particle accelerator: the LHC.
The following work packages have been defined:
- Tightness inspection on the surface of the magnets and subunits of the LHC (testing beam vacuum and the insulation vacuum of the cryogenic system)
- Testing the tightness of the interconnections of the magnets in the tunnel as the work progresses
- Complete installation of long straight sections of the LHC (several kilometres of UHV lines)
- Maintenance of the stock of pumping systems
- Testing tightness on demand for various CERN units
- Baking of the long straight sections (LSS) and other CERN accelerators
- Personnel support in the event of a machine halt
