Understanding the use through the perceptions of users.

28th International Congress of Applied Psychology

After two years of research within 40-30, Emma Cippelletti, doctoral student in psychology, will present a part of her work at the International Congress of Applied Psychology (from 8 to 13 July 2014, Paris).

Resulting from a collaboration with the University Pierre Mendes France of Grenoble and 40-30, Emma Cippelletti's thesis focuses on the acceptance of new technologies by maintenance technicians. This paper addresses the maintenance procedures formats and their perception by technicians. The results show evidence that the format of procedures is perceived differently by users depending on the nature of the task.

This conclusion supports 40-30's strategy to take into account the real technicians' activity for the development of its management procedure software AMPS.
